SPACES & DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS
Living & Dining – A Statement of Classic Elegance
The living area establishes the home's Victorian-inspired character through decorative wall mouldings, an ornate ceiling, layered lighting and a fireplace-inspired feature.
A custom television unit with integrated display niches combines aesthetic with practical storage, while floral wallpaper in the dining area adds a distinctive focal point. Warm wood-finish flooring and coordinated furnishings balance the decorative elements.
Kitchen – Classic Detailing with a Contemporary Palette
Muted blue-green cabinetry with classic-profile shutters gives the kitchen a refreshing character. White subway-style backsplash tiles and a dark granite countertop create a balanced contrast.
Duco painted display shutters, well-planned storage and concealed under-cabinet lighting bring together style and everyday functionality.
Master Bedroom – A Calm and Personal Retreat
Soft neutrals, muted grey tones and rich wooden elements create a warm, restful atmosphere. Custom wardrobes with detailed profiles, decorative wall panelling, wallpaper and bedside sconces add character. The classic wooden bedside dresser introduces a touch of richness and traditional charm, elevating the space with a subtle sense of luxury. Layered lighting completes the look.
Second Bedroom – Thoughtful and Comfortable Living
The second bedroom continues the home's understated elegance through a restrained palette, integrated storage, an aesthetic window seating and coordinated detailing. The design balances comfort and practical space utilisation while maintaining visual continuity with the rest of the home.
PS Design Studio - DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
At PS Design Studio, the intention is to create spaces where aesthetics and functionality coexist naturally.
This project reflects the belief that a distinctive design style need not be compromised by the limitations of apartment living. With considered material selection, thoughtful detailing and a cohesive approach to spatial design, even a compact residence can express a strong individual identity.
Every element, from the ceiling treatments and wall finishes to the furniture and lighting, was considered as part of a larger composition.
The outcome is more than a Victorian-inspired interior. It is a personal dream translated into a home that feels warm, elegant and lived in.

THE STORY & DESIGN LANGUAGE
Designed for an inspiring woman entrepreneur and avid traveller, this home draws its inspiration from her childhood dream of owning a Victorian-style residence. The vision was to translate this cherished aspiration into a space that celebrates the elegance and timeless appeal of classic design while embracing the warmth, comfort and functionality of contemporary apartment living.
The design unfolds through a harmonious blend of ornate ceiling details, decorative wall panelling, floral wallpapers and elegant wall sconces. A palette of soft whites, pastels and warm tones forms the foundation, while dark teak furniture and wood-finish flooring introduce richness and depth. The kitchen adds a refreshing contrast with muted blue-green cabinetry and classic detailing.
Within the compact 750 sq. ft. layout, every element was thoughtfully composed to maintain visual continuity without making the spaces feel overwhelming. The result is a home that captures the romance of Victorian design through a contemporary lens, translating a cherished personal dream into a timeless living experience.
